The Upper Peninsula Children's Museum in Marquette has been providing fantastic educational experiences for children and families for over 20 years.
Over the years we have fallen in love with Marquette (Jenny and I hope to retire there someday!) for its amazing natural activities, coffee shops, cultural events and resources.
We took our children to the Upper Peninsula Children's Museum when they were at a wonderful age (5 and 9) to run through the Fantastic Forest and explore the Creature Kingdom. Each exhibit is very well maintained and combines the perfect balance of education, exploration and fun! What a combination!
The Upper Peninsula Children's Museum over the past 20 years has also provided amazing structured educational programs and experiences for children and families.
Recent programs include a regular free family literacy night, musical exploration, parenting and play as well as classes in Wow! Animation which incorporates animation and other aspects of filmmaking.
A great program that the Upper Peninsula Children's Museum and other community supporters have developed is the 8-18 Media program. which teachers students in that age demographic to learn the fundamentals of journalism and features some excellent podcasts.
To help the Upper Peninsula Children's Museum continue their excellent work please consider donating to them via their website and be sure to include a stop by there on your next trip to Marquette in the Upper Peninsula!
Happy 20th birthday Upper Peninsula Children's Museum!
